Ingredients

1 box (15.25 ounces) chocolate cake mix, 1/2 cup unsalted butter, 3 eggs, 1 cup milk, 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies, 1 quart chocolate ice cream, 1/2 cup chocolate syrup

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, butter, eggs, and milk.

Beat until smooth. Stir in the crushed Oreos. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes,

or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool completely. Spread the chocolate ice cream over the top of the cake.

Drizzle with chocolate syrup and sprinkle with crushed Oreos. Freeze for at least 4 hours, or overnight.

Tips

For a richer cake, use whole milk instead of 2% milk. For a thicker ice cream layer, use a higher fat content ice cream.

To make a funfetti Oreo ice cream cake, add 1/2 cup of sprinkles to the chocolate ice cream before spreading it over the cake.

To make a chocolate ganache topping, heat 1 cup heavy cream and 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips in a saucepan over low heat until melted and smooth.

Let cool slightly before drizzling over the ice cream cake. Enjoy!
