Ingredients
1 box (18.25 ounces) chocolate cake mix, 1/2 cup butter, softened, 3 eggs, 1 cup milk, 1 cup chocolate chip
1/2 cup green food coloring, 1/4 cup white frosting, 1/4 cup black frosting, Assorted candy pieces for decorating (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking dish. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, butter, eggs, and milk. Beat until well combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the cake cool completely before frosting. Once the cake is cool, spread the white frosting all over the top.
Use the black frosting to draw dinosaur features on the cake, such as eyes, a mouth, and teeth. Use the candy pieces to decorate the cake as desired.
Tips
For a fun twist, try using different colored cake mixes and food coloring to create different dinosaur cakes. You can also use candy pieces to create dinosaur scales or other features.
To make a 3D dinosaur cake, cut out the shape of a dinosaur from the cake using a cookie cutter. Then, frost the cake and decorate it as desired.
