If you love Mexican food, then you must have tasted Chicken Fajitas. It is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is popular in the United States.

Ingredients

1 lb. boneless (skinless chicken breasts), 2 bell peppers (red, green or yellow), 1 onion, sliced into thin strips, 3 garlic cloves, minced, 2 tbsp. olive oil

2 tsp. chili powder, 1 tsp. ground cumin, 1 tsp. paprika, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. black pepper, 8-10 flour tortilla

Instruction

Marinating the Chicken Marinating the chicken is an essential step in making chicken fajitas. It adds flavor and tenderizes the meat.

In a large bowl, combine the chicken strips, minced garlic, olive oil, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.

Mix well to coat the chicken evenly. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.

Cooking the Vegetables After marinating the chicken, it's time to cook the vegetables. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add a tablespoon of olive oil, then add the sliced peppers and onions. Season with a pinch of salt and black pepper, and sauté for about 5-7 minutes,

until they are soft and slightly browned. Remove the vegetables from the skillet and set aside. Cooking the Chicken In the same skillet,

add the marinated chicken strips and cook for about 5-7 minutes, until they are cooked through and slightly browned.

Make sure to stir the chicken frequently to prevent it from sticking to the skillet. Combining the Chicken and Vegetables Once the chicken is cooked,

add the cooked vegetables back into the skillet and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to allow the flavours to meld.

Serving the Fajitas To serve the Chicken Fajitas, heat the flour tortillas in a microwave for 15-20 seconds, or wrap them in foil and heat in the oven for 5-10 minutes.

Spoon the chicken and vegetable mixture onto each tortilla and top with optional toppings, such as shredded cheese, sour cream, salsa, guacamole, and lime wedges.
