Butternut Squash Soup is a popular dish in the United States, especially during the fall and winter months.

1 large butternut squash(peeled and chopped), 1 large onion(chopped), 3 cloves of garlic(minced), 4 cups of vegetable broth, 1 teaspoon of dried thyme,


1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg, Salt and pepper(to taste), 1/2 cup of heavy cream (optional),

In a large pot, sauté the chopped onion and garlic in a little bit of olive oil over medium heat until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the chopped butternut squash, vegetable broth, thyme, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and pepper to the pot.
