Banana bread is a type of bread made from mashed ripe bananas.

It is often sweetened with sugar and may contain additional ingredients such as nuts or chocolate chips.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla and mashed bananas.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing it from the pan and transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Slice and serve the banana bread warm or at room temperature, and it can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
